Typical northeastern village
The beach of Prea is situated at approx. 280 kilometers from Fortaleza, a large area of coastal dunes on the northeast coast of Ceara.
Prea beach is an authentic village fishermen surrounded by huge white dunes, palm trees and crystal clear lakes formed by the tropical climate. The beach is extended for kilometers bordering the National Park of Jericoacoara. In Prea most of the local population still lives from fishing and agriculture, the tourist can watch the fishermen working on the beach with nets and boats in the same way they were doing 100 years ago. The fruit-fish kitchen is well appreciated.
On sundays people of Prea gather on the beach for a game of football and dancing of capoeira (old African-Brazilian martial art).
